UPDATE from our volunteers and organizers across the state

In the past two days, volunteers have visited over 103,000 doors to help us Get Out the Vote to support our six great candidates up for election on Tuesday, August 9th. See our new Facebook photo album of our volunteers in action this weekend.

Our campaign is in high gear – check out the latest news:

In the 2nd Senate District, sinking poll numbers and surging grassroots support for your opponent can cause a political candidate to resort to desperate measures… meanwhile Cowles’ policies have focused on spending millions in corporate tax giveaways paid for by raising taxes on the working families of his district – out of touch and out of line with the values of Wisconsin’s middle class families. In the 8th Senate District, hundreds of Milwaukee area working families kicked off the get out the vote efforts Saturday morning to make the final push to recall Alberta Darling and stop the anti-working family agenda she and Walker have been pushing since January… This week has been a rough one for Darling – click here to read more about Darling’s recent comments.

In the 10th Senate District, after four candidate forums, one thing should be clear for voters in Senate District 10: If Sheila Harsdorf cannot tell the truth about the ramifications of the extreme budget she voted for – the contents of which are all a matter of public record – what will she tell the truth about?  Click here to read more…

In the 14th Senate District, more than 100 volunteers turned out for GOTV canvasses and rallies featuring Captain Jeff Skiles.  Known for his heroic role as co-pilot on Flight 1549 – “Miracle on the Hudson” – Skiles harped on the importance of turning out voters to take a stand against a senator who’s consistently turned his back on the working families of District 14 – Luther Olsen.  Read more about Skiles’ visit to Wisconsin…

In the 18th Senate District, this past Friday, volunteers dropped off pink slips to Randy Hopper’s campaign office and delivered a strong message to Randy Hopper – that his constituents had had enough of his blind allegiance to Scott Walker’s extreme agenda – and that it is time for him to go – check out this great video.

In the 32nd Senate District, despite last week’s fire at our local We Are Wisconsin campaign office in La Crosse, our new campaign office has been buzzing with activity, and this past week both candidates appeared for  a debate of WKBT – TV.  Hear what people are saying about our campaign…
