Romney/Ryan: Too Extreme For Wisconsin

Congressman’s constituents to speak out Wednesday in De Pere

MADISON – While the GOP holds a “victory town hall rally” with Vice Presidential candidate and Wisconsin Congressman, Paul Ryan; constituents, community activists and citizens concerned with the Romney/Ryan ticket’s policies will hold their own rally at the same time.

“While the rest of the nation is still getting to know Paul Ryan, here in Wisconsin, we’re well versed in his flawed path for the nation. Ryan’s plan, to destroy Medicare as we know it, is reliant on tax cuts for the wealthiest 1%, paid for on the backs of working families and seniors is too extreme for Wisconsin and too extreme for the nation” said Kristen Crowell, Executive Director of We Are Wisconsin.

“Paul Ryan’s failed leadership in his own district speaks volumes as to the kind of Vice President he’d be, putting profits and the wealthy before the working people of his own district.”

The event, organized by a coalition of organizations from across Wisconsin and Ryan’s district, is set for tomorrow, Wednesday September 12th, and will begin at 9:15am outside the Cornerstone Community Ice Center, located at 1640 Fernando Drive in De Pere.
