After Two Years of Divisive Politics, Wisconsin GOP Again Promises Moderation
MADISON – Following two years of divisive partisan political attacks after pledging moderation, Governor Walker is again promising to enter the new legislative session with a moderate agenda.
“Two years ago, Governor Walker entered office under the guise of bipartisanship and a focus on job creation, yet time after time, we’ve seen the Governor’s office and GOP controlled legislature put power grabs and extreme partisanship over creating jobs for the people of Wisconsin. It’s unclear why this time should be any different” said Kristen Crowell, We Are Wisconsin Executive Director.
“From pushing through the largest cuts to public education in state history, to an extremely partisan redistricting process, to the total mismanagement of the WEDC; Governor Walker’s last two years in office have been anything but the moderation that he promised. That two years later, he would again make the same statements just goes to show that he has no intention of following through” said Crowell.
